Stoke City started the season with former Plymouth Argyle boss Steven Schumacher at the helm. However, come September, the Potters decided to part ways with the 40-year-old and bring on Narcis Pelach to rescue the situation but to no avail.

Stoke City have now announced that they have parted ways with Pelach as well, after the Potters’ 2-0 loss to Leeds United at bet365 Stadium. The loss to Daniel Farke’s Championship leading side was Stoke’s ninth straight winless game, while having picked up just three wins in 19 clashes under the Spanish coach.

The Potters are yet to announce who will be taking over from Pelach ahead of their last clash of the year against Sunderland on December 29. Meanwhile, Rooney will hope to steer his Plymouth side to a win when the Pilgrims take on Oxford United.
