According to Fotomac, Fenerbahce are plotting an ambitious January swoop for Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil.
The former Germany international became the club’s most expensive ever signing when he joined the Gunners from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013 for a fee in the region of £42.5 million. Since then, the 29-year-old has lifted three FA Cups with the North London side.

In January, Ozil signed a new contract with the Gunners, following lengthy negotiations, which resulted in him becoming the club’s highest ever paid player. However, following the arrival of new manager Unai Emery, his place in the starting XI is no longer so certain.
The midfielder has struggled to produce his best form in the early part of the new campaign and doesn’t yet look comfortable in the system the new boss is seeking to implement. It is beyond doubt that Ozil is a supremely talented player, but his role at Arsenal is now cast in doubt, which may fuel approaches for his signature in January.
