Loads of Liverpool fans have been reacting to Jurgen Klopp’s comments on transfer deadline day, as James Pearce shared the manger’s plans for a quiet final day of the window on Twitter.
The Reds are probably the only team in world football right now sitting back happily and watching the chaos unfold on transfer deadline day, as they cruise towards the Premier League title with a 19-point lead at the top of the table. That said, Klopp was of course asked the question about transfers in his pre-Southampton press conference, as reported by The Athletic’s James Pearce, and the boss said there is ‘nothing that I’ve heard about’.
The likes of Nathaniel Clyne and Divock Origi have been linked with January exits, but it appears as though Klopp is desperate to keep his squad fully in tact with three trophies still left to fight for, and the gaffer is clearly also satisfied with the club’s only incoming move of the window – Takumi Minamino.
You can check out some of the best Twitter reactions down below after Klopp drew a line under the club’s January business, as one supporter rather optimistically hoped it is a ‘smoke screen’ while another joked ‘get him out’…
