Wrexham have been linked with moves to get another striker on board, as they seek even more firepower, but finding suitable recruits at the right price is never easy when navigating the winter market. Reynolds, McElhenney and Co are finding that out again in 2025.
WHAT PHIL PARKINSON SAID
Parkinson told when asked about recruitment in North Wales: “I think, like everybody, you’re always looking for an extra player or two and yeah, we are looking – hard – and had some bids rejected.
“It’s not easy because the players we’re now looking at are at that Championship-level quality and you’re always competing with teams at the top of this division and the lower end of the Championship for those signatures, so it’s not easy.”

Wrexham have seen approaches for Liverpool starlet Jayden Danns and Sheffield Wednesday striker Michael Smith speculated on, but Parkinson was giving little away when quizzed on those supposed targets. Hull City winger Ryan Longman is, however, expected to arrive in a £500,000 deal.
